12/18 – Last day at sea

We are on a mission today – we have 5 photos left we MUST find in order to put this scavenger hunt to bed.  I have the booklet with me at all times.  Morning gym, etc., goes as planned – no photos there though.  Morning coffee in Mosaics in our hidden corner (Alfred the barista and Kris the server both know where we sit, hidden), do a little blogging, watch as Alfred, Kris, Ivan and others try to fix the little miniature train in the gingerbread display after it gets stuck at a switch in the worst location on the whole platform!  Then I run downstairs to confirm the location of the floral display on Simeone’s desk. 4 left!

A quick stop at GR for some documentation questions, a new print out of our folio (we’re making a dent in the OBC), ShoreEx to talk to Javier about the 2 idiot women who crashed the tour the other day (just a friendly little nudge to not let it happen again – they didn’t even sign the waiver – what would have happened if they got hurt? Oh, you know exactly what would have happened!), then to Dario in Photos to buy the photo package (OBC) and finally onto Jim for his last lecture on Salt in South Africa.

On the way to the cabin, we stop at the gift shop, desperately trying to find something to buy.  I had my eye on a sort of fleecy pullover that is only in small and large. The small is ok, would rather have a medium, but everything is out, so I snag that, and Ed picks out some cool woven coasters (don’t ask the price, even though they are basically free, they are ridiculous!) and we have whittled down the OBC even more.  We’ll have one last go at the giftshop either this evening or tomorrow after we sail……

The afternoon is quite slow – lunch, then, well, nothing.  They are doing the Broadway music show in the Cabaret which we have seen. I stay in the cabin to blog, do some work, and get organized for our packing.  Packing!  Yikes! You get spoiled after 37 days of not having to worry about that!

We take a quick break to go hunt down photos, with Ed coming up big!  He found that blasted photograph of a fishing boat (that I swore was on the Quest, not here!) in the hallway on deck 4!  Success.  Now we just have a couple more, and we’ll be done!  Azamara swag will be awaiting us.

Later that afternoon, gym time and then tonight is dinner back in Discoveries, finally with Datu, who says he misses us.  Then up to the Living Room for the new band, and cabin for the rest of the evening – it’s Emily’s show, which is marvelous, but again, we’ve seen it. So, reading and Netflix is fine for us.

And tomorrow, our last port of call, and the only one new to us on this sailing.  Stay tuned…
