Saturday – Today is a typically lazy day, nothing happening but trivia – which we listen to as we sit in the Living Room reading and blogging. So, interesting aside here, as we are listening to trivia with the DJ, he tells everyone that we are not doing the stamps for prizes this cruise because the ship didn’t receive their shipment of prizes! No t-shirts, no nothing. But it gives me an aha moment! Yesterday we got our Azamara bag, but it was the old logo – the really old Le Club Voyage logo. I mean they haven’t used that in years. I could not figure it out and almost went down to GR to ask about it (my marketing antennae just went crazy). I’m so glad I didn’t, because obviously the bag shipment was with the prize shipment! Where in the hell they ever dug up this old thing, we’ll never know. But mystery solved – without embarrassment!
So anyhow, the lack of activity is basically because the King’s coronation has kind of usurped the Cabaret lounge with all day live streaming and a special Royal tea time beginning at 1:30. That being said, at least they did fit in the Shore Ex manager, Singh, excursions presentation, which we sit in on for a bit. Then the new destination lecturer – Connie Kirker – gives her intro presentation and she is great. She is an art historian, taught at Penn State, and has a huge culinary interest, so her lectures are all about art, food and religion. She is super personable and great and I so wish I would have had her for a professor in college!
The rest of the day progresses slowly. Blogging, reading, eating the jackfruit we bought in Singapore (yummo!), walking, dinner at Prime C where they had fresh local oysters from Singapore! Ed had the cold appetizer and I had a filet with oysters on top – fantastic! Although way, way too much food which made me totally hit the food wall! Eek. I’m dieting beginning tomorrow!

Watched the show in the room – still only one show, and at 9:30 because of the coronation – so we’ll see how that goes going forward. Then crashed. Sea Day accomplished!
Sunday – We’ve hit the jackpot today! 3 lectures plus the smartphone photography lesson which we caught the end of last cruise and learned some neat tricks. The additional lecturer is a physicist who worked for the military and the government space programs. He is, well, only ok. And way too Red for our tastes. Connie is great again – this lecture all about Buddhism. Then brunch, then back for photography where there is popcorn! Yay! And we learn more cool tricks – or at least I did, Ed already knew the one I learned! I skipped out on the afternoon physicist lecture, Ed said it didn’t change much, then the normal evening, dinner – we scored table #4 again! – and the actual live show, which was – are you sitting down? – a rock violinist. Yes, we actually went to see a violinist! He was pretty good actually – oh – and 2 shows!!!! Yay. Must have had something to do with the Perry Golf group because now, suddenly there are once again 2 shows at night. Makes life much easier! Stayed for the Captain’s toast then skeedaddled up to the cabin for the rest of the evening.

Monday – While we had a jackpot yesterday, today is a miss. There is literally nothing going on except one lecture from the space guy which we are definitely not going to attend. So……blog….read….we will fill the day somehow! It’s a little bit rocky, so I’m pilled up, but they don’t seem to be working really well, so I’m sort of in the cabin most of the day. Sigh. Oh well – that happens sometimes. Tonight’s dinner is Japanese on the Patio – Sushi and Sashimi, those way too big Gyozas and Ramen soup without many ramen noodles. Then the cabin for the night as the show is the Divas, and they did nothing for us the first time. Tomorrow – our leopard safari!
