5/5 – Singapore turnover day

Let the madness begin!  Not only disembarkation, but Singapore disembarkation – and you all know how much we love Singapore immigration!  Fortunately we don’t have to go out into the fray as we have nothing planned except walking the mall and going to the grocery store.  It is hot. It is humid.  And we are just not up to hiking up some damn mountain to get views of the city we don’t really care too much about.  Mall walking is fine for us.

We meet at the assigned time to get checked in and out on all the B2B lists then finally, after listening to the people behind us complain that the pool and hot tubs won’t be open, we leave to wander the mall – again, there is a little bit of confusion because we thought we had to stay here to redo our keys all at once, then go out, but, hey, I’ve mentioned the communications!

Surprisingly, we actually make it through immigration unscathed.  Amazing!  Then through the bag scanner and out into the Harbor City center, which in and of itself is a big mall.  We hit a pharmacy store or supplies – band aids, tiger balm and Zambec – all really cheap!  Is this really Singapore???  Then find the really big mall and the really big grocery store!!!  OMG.  This place is on 2 levels, has everything you could ever need and is just amazing – and pretty cheap as well.

Completing our supply shopping (local beer – Raffles – for Ed, coffee, mint Kit Kats!), we reverse course and head back to the ship for an excellent lunch in the Patio (but way too much – I love that tuna wrap, but it is monstrous!) and then just whiling the day away until sail away.

We find Mark, now at the Sunset bar, and hang out with him for a bit, until the Aussies take over – this is going to be ugly, getting a drink.  More than half the ship is Australian – and well – already it is hard to belly up to the bar.  We have Mark’s WhatsApp number, maybe we can text him and ask him if it is clear to come up!  LOL.

Dinner in the restaurant, we scored table #4!!!  Lets see if that continues.  Drinks to go and Live streaming the welcome show.  And to bed – 1 hour back in time tonight, so lots of extra sleep – not that we need it!
