1/25 – Sea Day #2

It was an hour back again last night, and again, there are so many people who paid no attention to the multiple reminders.  The very same lady from last time is back up in Windows asking why things aren’t open and what the time is.  Pure entertainment, I tell you.  Pure.

We are in the gym early – as we said before, we aren’t the first ones breaking in – so have at it.  Then breakfast and then. Well. Nothing.  Sadly.  Both lectures we have already seen – the doctors said they were changing them up for the back-to-back folks but so far:  Nope. So, Mosaics for the morning it is.  Ed reads, I blog.  We drink coffee and water.  Eh.  What to do?  Although, it is also pure entertainment down there.  Oh, the attire on this ship!  They are either walking around in bathing suits with little scant cover ups – and most need more than that, trust us – or they are walking around in a sequin/jewel-studded off the shoulder short dress – and while she did have the figure for it, still…..Craziness.  But entertaining, nonetheless.  And the orders at Mosaic are also entertaining.  So not necessarily a boring morning.

Giving up our prime seats after a couple of hours, we hang out on the balcony in lovely cool and breezy weather for a bit, then hit the Officers’ BBQ which is kind of meh.  A pork leg instead of suckling pig. And the rest is the normal; sausage, fried chicken, ribs.

Eh.  Then it is more room and balcony time as we have nothing to do for the rest of the afternoon until our Aqualina dinner with Monique and Rafael.

We do end up going to see Rory on the keyboards in the den for a bit before dinner at least.  Then we spend a delightful long dinner in Aqualina with some great wine that Monique and Rafael brought onboard from who I call their “personal winegrower” – a winemaker they met and adore from S. Africa.  Excellent food, wine and company.

Then it is off to bed with us after a lovely relaxing day at sea.
