7/12 – All aboard Azamara Quest

Today is an easy peasy day. Sleep late – well as late as we can – check out Uber to port with a super fun guy, who, once at the port was hysterically slamming the security guard/carpark attendant guy who couldn’t figure out how to get cars in and out at the same time.  It was priceless, with our taxi guy calling him an f’ing ijit.  We were dying laughing.  Gave over our bags, hung out in the make shift waiting area – a big tent on the pier – where all the chairs were taken, but after about 30 minutes, they started to board and we could move to the chairs.  But only a bit, we were called really fast and onboard in no time.

We are fully situated in the sunshine on the Sunset Bar back deck with wine and beer a little after noon.  Totally smooth.  After lunch, we commence to wander – looking to see who is still on Quest that we know.  it only took about 30 minutes before they started boarding, already lunched and wandering to see who we know.  Turns out quite a few crew are here (and not on Onward where a ton of crew has gone) – Nathan and Roy, 2 of our favorite bartenders, Ryan our lovely waiter who takes care of us like we are family, Alfred in Mosaic.  There will be more we are sure, but it is so nice to see so many people we know from our previous sailings.

As the day progresses, we get into our routine, today, hitting the gym way early to avoid the raffle and all that mess, then the muster drill, then unpacking and finally up to the Living Room for pre-dinner drinks and down to the dining room where we meet Vicson – the adorable host – and grab our Table #4 in the corner all by ourselves.

After dinner, we hang out on the balcony for a bit before the show as the weather is gorgeous.

Then back again after a lovely welcome to the cruise overview with all the singers and dancers.  Great day – and perfect end to the evening.
