Friday – A little bit of a do-nothing day today. Just Coffee Chat with Ed and the Chef, then a port talk at 2 on Montevideo. How Cruise Director Ed does it, we’ll never know. He handles all the questions with such good spirit, even when he gets a little cheeky – which is hysterical. And we’re talking dumb questions. Like one right after the other about the same exact thing!

The afternoon progresses as normal – blog, reading, gym, dinner at Caneletto and then Netflix – dinner is too late for us to go to the early show, and this is the guy we don’t really want to see anyway, so……cabin night it is. We’re happy campers – and this whole entire ship is sick (even Violet our sweet Pinnacle waitress now has it) so the less contact, the better!
Saturday – Another do-nothing day – although there is a gale force wind out there making it a little rocky, but nothing really bad. It’s also warm now – 70 degrees – so puffy coats are put away….for the next month more than likely! We tried to go to the last port talk on Buenos Aires, but the live stream into the Rolling Stone lounge didn’t work, so they had to record it and play it back in the cabins. That actually works better for us as 70% of this ship is coughing and sneezing and not washing their hands, and, well, eek! We’d rather stay in our cabin, thank you!

We did participate in the On Deck for a Cause, still supporting Ukraine, with medical supplies and instruments. That was nice, a little brisk, but good to get out and walk in the fresh air. Then the normal afternoon activities – yes we went to the gym again after the walk, come on people! You know us! Then balcony for gorgeous sea views and onto dinner where we are given a table in Dade’s section – where we will stay for the our last 2 dinners aboard. He is an absolute gem – tonight he made us 3 origami – an amazing parrot that perches on the lampshade, a little crab (how does he remember these complicated things???) and a totally cool eagle flying with the help of a wine cork. I’m figuring out a way to get them home with us, yes I am! We finish off the night watching CD Ed’s taped port talk, laughing at the Q&As once more and then just hanging out and relaxing on our 3rd to last night aboard the Oosterdam.
