12/10 – Day at sea

Another normal day – gym, breakfast, blog, read.  Overnight, the elves have been at work and the entire ship is now decorated for the season!  Trees everywhere, holiday floral decorations, garland wrapped around the main staircase.  It’s the most wonderful time of the year……ha!

Today we go to see the new lecturer, Jim Jacobs, a Professional Geologist, giving a talk about the Gold and Diamond mining in S. Africa.  Very good – totally dry topic (no pun intended) but he spices it up nicely.  Then it is onto the Sunday brunch.  Afterward it is Chuck with a not so interesting Port Elizabeth talk – but it is something to do at least.  Next it is the gym, early because they are doing a spa suite raffle giveaway later and we do not want to be there for that!  Then blog and reading time before our afternoon pool bar drink.

Dinner tonight in Prime C with Elvin, one of our favorite waiters.

Then we are once again skipping the show. It is Nicholas, the tenor. He is supposed to be fantastic, but just not our cup of tea. So, it is Living Room and then cabin night.
