The norm! Up early, gym, breakfast, Chuck lecture on Cape Town, lunch (we have yet to eat at the Patio – can you believe???) then on to our B2B meeting.
All else is fine – we are actually going to Maputo, Mozambique, but only for a technical stop. Talk about weird!!! And because of the stop, we have to do face-to-face immigration in Richards Bay and in Durban. What a pain. We are definitely on the hunt to figure out what’s up with that! Once again, only 370 passengers. What’s up with that as well? This is crazy – we need to be on an Azamara customer panel or something – maybe we can help!
Meeting done, we make our dinner reservations – no South African Chef’s table. What? That is just bizarre. So we do the Italian one – have not done that in ages. Then it is on to the gym. Before dinner we stop in the Den to say goodbye to Myra and give her a little gift, then stay for Isiah’s evening solo with Rory at the piano. Such a voice!
Then it is on to our final dinner with Gilzin, who isn’t there – Datu tells us he is up in Windows because it is busy there. Ok, well, after dinner then it will be the great Gilzin hunt so we can give him his gifts – he’s a chocolate fanatic and also has an almost 4 year old daughter who he is so excited to get home to – and we have a little something for both he and his “baby”. We get lucky halfway through dinner, and he appears, so no scavenger hunt tonight. Hugs and goodbyes all around, and then it is up to the Living Room for our final night with Back on Traxx. They are so so sweet and good, and we’ll miss them terribly. We stay for their first set – per usual – listening to Mavie sing her favorite song – we asked her to sing it, only fair since she is always asking us for requests! Then a last picture with her – and they are off – as we are – to our cabin and the rest of our evening.

It will be so strange tomorrow with so many new crew and the new band – not to mention the rotating bartenders!
