4/24- Another day at sea

Normal sea day – up early and in Windows with our coffee cups (which we have to grab at lunch and save in our cabin because for some bizarre reason we have yet to figure out, there are no china coffee cups out in the morning – they don’t arrive until breakfast service starts or after, totally odd) to have our drip instant coffee and hot water (Japan knows how to do instant coffee – we are in love with those little drip coffee filter packs!  Should have bought way more!)  So today was the first time change, and yeah, half this ship didn’t get the memo.  Literally.  People are milling about the coffee station like a bunch of lost little lambs, trying to figure out why the buffet isn’t open (you’ve got an hour people!), where the coffee is.  It is sort entertainment actually.  But then again, we can sort of understand.  If you aren’t paying attention – and let’s face it, most of these people don’t pay attention – you could miss the time change.  There are no more little cards on your bed – just a notice on the TV that our stateroom attendant turned on when he did turn down and a notice in the Insider program.  So lots of folks missed those 2 things.  Someone also said Jose didn’t mention it during the show last night, but we seriously doubt that.  They probably just weren’t’ paying attention.  As I said….

So, leaving the bedlam behind, we hit the gym, waiting for our sweet little guy to come open the doors, then hit the first lecture on 2 Chinas; lunch on patio; second lecture on the history of Taiwan and the rest of the afternoon blogging and catching up.  Dinner tonight in the restaurant and we score table #4!  We’d been eying this little lonesome table in the corner, protected from all unwanted intrusions since our last time in the dining room and asked specifically for it (not knowing the number, but finding out when they sat us – of course our dear AAC friends already had this strategy down, so while we might be a little late to the party, we are still AAC forever!) then to the Den for a drink and a little bit of Rob on the piano, then back to the cabin, because tonight is the violinist.  Nope.  Cabin. Netflix.  Happy evening!
