We have nothing planned today except another excursion to the grocery store for supplies. So we set off a little later than normal, to time our arrival with Rimping opening hours. On the way across town, we find an adorable little coffee Cafe called co.coffee x roaster star. Don’t ask! This place is literally in an old garage with recycled wood made into tables and glass jars full of coffee beans set out for display. The perfect place to stop for an excellent cappuccino.

Perfect for a quick little break and caffeine. Resuming our stroll down to Rimping, we manage to cross at a good crosswalk and not get killed by the turning or speeding cars, then successfully remember the alley in which to turn to get to to the store. A quick shop today – just fruit and wine and small supplies and cheap chicken! Had to buy that, which means no pit stops on the way back to the house – not with chicken in my backpack.
Making it home with the chicken intact, we hunker down for the hot part of the day, with Ed modeling his cool Korean shirt. Then it is off to the park for an afternoon walk, which is lovely in the shaded areas of the path.

Work is beginning in the park to ready it for the Flower Festival at the end of the month. We’re sad we’ll miss it, but also amazed at what will be done to transform this lovely little park into a mass of flower displays, vendors and stages. A ton of work, well worth it in the end.
Later in the evening we try to go to Lert Ros again, only to find a sign saying they are closed during the holidays and will see us in 2023. Ummmmm. Ok, well, when in 2023 is suspect at the moment so off we go in search of food for the 2nd evening in a row. Tonight we end up at La Fontana where we have an amazing pizza and equally amazing Panzerotti – which is a traditional Panzerotti (think oversized Calzone) and not the weirdly ravioli like dish I got in Cannero last year.

We had originally wanted to go back to Street Pizza, but decided we didn’t want to walk that far, so La Fontana totally fit the bill, was equally delicious and bonus – closer to home! Plus, this restaurant is family owned and operated by an Italian husband, Thai wife and gorgeous Italian/Thai daughter, all who were in attendance tonight, and all who were just lovely (and typical Italian and Thai!). An excellent meal with tons of leftovers for lunches and maybe even another dinner.
Back home, we settle in for some Netflix and then a nice sleep to prepare for our next hanging out in Chiang Mai day.
