Yep – we did nothing. Well, we walked in the morning, hung out, read, blogged and well, did nothing! It’s the weekend, and we’re just as happy staying in and watching all the shenanigans at our complex. The visitors piling 8 or 9 into vans (how do they fit?), the same people with the huge vans and SUVs trying to fit into the little teeny parking spaces here at the complex – we can barely fit our little compact in there. It is truly entertainment!
In the afternoon we take a different walk – down the Wailea beach path – which is a very nice walk by the water and through all the different resort complexes in Wailea. Oh. The people! But, not on the path! A very pretty nice 3 mile round trip walk with gorgeous vistas across the water to Kaho’olawe island and back toward West Maui. Along with the very interesting sand sculpture along the way!

After our walk, we decide we are thirsty, so we go in search of the Waikiki Brewing Company in the Shops at Wailea. We know they have happy hour, so we figured what the heck, we’re right there. It’s a nice very open air place and not at all as stuffy as we had imagined (as Wailea is the expensive “exclusive” resort area in South Maui) and we thoroughly enjoy hanging out in the breeze with our beers.
Then it is back to Kihei for the evening. Another lovely Hawaiian day complete.
